Following up on the incident of the train derailment between Sukamenanti Station - Garuntang Station

The Head of BTP Palembang and the Head of the TU sub-division together with the NTSC, the PLT Director of Safety, the Head of Region 2 Infrastructure Sub-Directorate, and PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is in active field review of the PLH location where the train derailed between Sukamenanti Station - Garuntang Station and the Inspection Train from Tanjung Karang Station to Kertapati Station.

As for the results of the review, no casualties were found, and there was only minor damage to the railway infrastructure facilities. BTP palembang itself through the head of Balai, Mr. Yofi Okatrisza said that he would immediately identify the cause of the derailment and immediately follow up on the results of the NTSC findings, and he appealed to all relevant stakeholders to always be aware of safety, especially facilities and infrastructure as well as safety at level crossings.
