Friday (8/10) the Director General of Railways, Zulfikri made a working visit to the South Sumatra region accompanied by the Director of Railways Infrastructure, Harno Trimadi and the Head of the South Sumatra Railways Engineering Office, Ikhsandy Wanto Hatta and the team. One of the objectives of the working visit of the Director General of Railways is to review the readiness of the safety of the existing railway infrastructure in the working area of ??BTP Sumbagsel.

In conducting a field review of the Kertapati - Lahat railway line, the Director General of Railways and his team used the Inspection Train. During this field review trip, discussions were also held regarding improving the safety of the existing railway infrastructure in the South Sumatra area, one of which is the Lahat KA line, where on this occasion the Director General of Railways, Zulfikri said, "Safety is the main and important thing in rail travel for that maintenance needs to be improved. which is good on the railway line, especially Kertapati - Lahat because this route is mostly traversed by logistics transport trains such as coal".

Previously, the Director General of Railways had previously carried out a review of the South Sumatra LRT, the Karya Jaya Palembang terminal, the Keramasan Station Emplacement, the Sukacinta Stockpile, the Lahat Underpass, the work on improving the Lahat - Bungamas segment and the Bungamas - Lubuklinggau segment. Furthermore, the Director General of Railways and his entourage continued their working visit to review the Baturaja - Martapura and Kotabumi - Cempaka segment trains and ended their journey at Tanjung Karang Station (sta/tu)
