From 19 to 23 February 2024, the Directorate of Railway Facilities, in cooperation with the Surabaya Class I Railway Engineering Centre, conducted an Inspection of Operational Readiness and Fitness (Rampcheck) of Railway Transport Facilities for the 2024 Lebaran Period at DAOP 8 Surabaya.

This activity aimed to assess the operational readiness and fitness of railway facilities as part of the preparations for the 2024 Lebaran transport. The inspection began with the collection of maintenance data to verify that the necessary maintenance and inspections were being carried out by the railway facility operators. This was followed by a direct inspection of the condition of the railway facilities, with various items being checked according to the technical specifications and safety standards applicable to each type of equipment.

The Rampcheck process is essential to ensure that all railway equipment meets the required safety and operational standards before being used for the busy Lebanese transport season.
