Semarang, December 2024 - The Railways Engineering Office (Balai Teknik Perkeretaapian/BTP) Kelas I Semarang has officially welcomed 28 Candidate Civil Servants (CASN) under the Ministry of Transportation’s Vocational Recruitment Program (Pola Pembibitan/Polbit) for 2024. These CASN Polbit graduates come from the Indonesian Land Transportation Polytechnic (PTDI-STTD) in Bekasi and the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic (PPI) in Madiun.
During the occasion, Rudi Pitoyo, Head of BTP Class I Semarang, delivered an orientation session for the newly joined CASN. In his address, he emphasized the profound responsibility and noble duty of serving the nation and its people as part of the Civil Servant Corps.
“Becoming a Civil Servant: A Noble Duty Awaits You”
Rudi Pitoyo underscored the strategic role of CASN in enhancing public services. “Welcome to the Candidate Civil Servants joining this institution. The future of public service rests in your hands. Your role is not merely to fulfill tasks but to act as agents of change and the face of exemplary service for the community,” he stated.
He also reminded the CASN that their journey as civil servants will be filled with challenges. “We are required to adapt quickly to new environments, understand work culture, and carefully comprehend our duties and responsibilities. Strong adaptation is a solid foundation for navigating change and performing optimally,” he added.
Collaboration for Collective Success
Rudi highlighted the importance of collaboration across and between work units. He encouraged the CASN to be open-minded, attentive, and cooperative to achieve common goals. “Collaboration is the key to collective success,” he remarked.
Enhancing Personal Capacity
In his guidance, Rudi also stressed the importance of continuous learning. “The world is constantly evolving, as are expectations for civil servants. Make learning a habit, whether through formal training, reading, or learning from experiences. Improve your competencies to remain relevant and prepared for future challenges,” he advised.
Loyalty to the Nation and Society
Rudi reminded the CASN that true loyalty as a civil servant is demonstrated through dedication, integrity, and professionalism in every task. “Loyalty to the nation and society must be the cornerstone of all your actions,” he emphasized.
With quick adaptation, solid collaboration, relentless capacity building, and unwavering loyalty, the CASN are expected to contribute to creating better public services. This initiative reflects BTP Class I Semarang’s commitment to advancing the railway sector and delivering modern, sustainable transportation services.
