BTP Padang Successfully Hosts Harhubnas 2024 Commemoration Ceremony

Padang - In celebration of the National Transport Day (Harhubnas) 2024, Balai Teknik Perkeretaapian Kelas II Padang had the honour of coordinating the commemoration ceremony on Tuesday 17 September 2024 at the Governor's Office compound in West Sumatra.

During the ceremony, BTP Padang contributed by assigning several staff members to play key roles, including Putu Triska Diah Lestari, who served as the reader for the Lima Citra Manusia Perhubungan (Five Icons of Human Transport).

The ceremony was graced by the Governor of West Sumatra, Mahyeldi Ansharullah, who delivered a speech on behalf of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Karya Sumadi. The Minister's message emphasized Harhubnas as a moment to reflect on past achievements, ensure sustainability and continue to innovate for a better future.

"Over the past decade, Indonesia has made significant progress in the transport sector, which has played a crucial role in realizing President Joko Widodo's vision of an advanced, sovereign, independent and distinctive Indonesia based on the spirit of mutual cooperation. With the Indonesia-centric development paradigm, transport infrastructure has been extended to the remotest parts of the country," said Governor Mahyeldi.

The event concluded with the presentation of several awards, including certificates for safety pioneers and trophies for winners of special Harhubnas competitions. The overall winner of the competition was PT KAI (Persero) Divre II Sumbar, which was recognized as a key partner in the transport sector, among other awards.

In addition to the ceremony, various sporting events and community activities were held, including table tennis, futsal, dominoes, badminton, chess, a fun walk, and a beach clean-up at Padang Beach. There was also a Dharma Wanita visit, a Mobile Legend tournament, and a blood donation drive.

The diverse range of activities reflected the spirit of collaboration and solidarity within the transportation sector and showcased the community’s collective commitment to advancing Indonesia's transportation system.
