Affordable Holiday for Only Rp 3.000 with Lembah Anai Train

Padang – West Sumatra (Sumbar) is a destination with a unique charm for both domestic and international travelers, offering a blend of natural beauty, culture, history, and cuisine. What many people do not realize is that you can have all of this without spending a fortune. One such way is by taking the Kereta Api Lembah Anai to Kayutanam, which offers an exciting and budget-friendly holiday experience.

The Kereta Api Lembah Anai, which runs between Stasiun Bandara Internasional Minangkabau (BIM) and Stasiun Kayutanam (round trip), passes through four other stations: Stasiun Duku, Stasiun Pasar Usang, Stasiun Lubuk Alung, and Stasiun Sicincin before reaching its final destination at Stasiun Kayutanam.

The cost of traveling from Stasiun Duku to Kayutanam is only Rp 3.000, while a one-way ticket from Stasiun BIM to Kayutanam is only Rp 5.000. These affordable fares allow passengers to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sumbar and the unique experience of traveling by pioneer train without the hassle of traffic.

Passengers traveling to Kayutanam can also experience some history by visiting Stasiun Pasar Usang, an old-fashioned station. The station's aesthetic charm has been preserved through the use of wooden materials in its construction, providing a nostalgic glimpse into the past.

Stasiun Pasar Usang is a small third-class railway station located in Sungai Buluh, Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency. It was renovated in 2020 as part of the Padang-Pariaman Railway Line Improvement Project implemented by BTP Padang under the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. The station has been upgraded with a 100-metre-long platform canopy and will reopen in 2023.
