Public wants West Sumatra railway line upgraded

Padang - In order to provide the best service to the people of West Sumatra, the Class II Railway Engineering Centre in Padang conducted a survey on the satisfaction of railway services in West Sumatra. On the survey site, people said they were satisfied with the railway service in Ranah Minang, but wanted the railway line to be extended.

One of the railway enthusiasts, named Diki Pratama, said that the railway in West Sumatra had served well, but he wanted an extension of the railway line from Kayutanam to Padang City, because currently the Lembah Anai railway line only served Kayutanam Station - BIM Station (pp).

We are waiting for the extension of the Anai Valley railway line to Padang City, so there is no need to stop at Duku Station,' he said.

Then a resident called Rori Ramadhonal said the same thing, that the train service was up to standard, but he also suggested that a number of trains could be added to the Pariaman Ekspres train, which was often fully booked at weekends.

The service is good, just add more trains because there are many people who want to travel by train at weekends," he said.

Another resident, Erdian Rahmana, not only wanted to see more trains, but also suggested that the timetable could be increased as, as a train user, he always saw trains full of passengers at weekends.

Maybe we can reactivate the bicycle carriages and increase the train schedule because I want to travel by bicycle," said Erdian.
