Another EIA Basic Education and Training organised by DJKA

Bogor (7/10) The Directorate of Railways and Transportation held a Basic Education and Training on Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) for the improvement of human resources competence, which was held for 1 (one) week from 07-11 October 2024 for 40 lesson hours (JP), which was attended by a number of participants from the work unit environment in DJKA.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Training aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and attitudes in carrying out the preparation process and the environmental impact assessment in accordance with the applicable regulations. 

The aim of the EIA training is that after completing the training, the participants will be able to understand and facilitate the assessment of EIA documents from railway activities in order to monitor the implementation of the document completeness plan in the construction of the railway network. It is expected that the participants will be able to adequately describe the philosophy of EIA and the process of preparation and environmental feasibility study in accordance with the applicable regulations and monitor the implementation of the document completeness plan in the construction of the railway network.

The materials presented to the AMDAL training participants include the definition, process and benefits of AMDAL, ecological basics, ecosystem typology and its vulnerability, PPLH and PSDA policies related to AMDAL, environmental and social assessment, etc.
