The Railway Maintenance Center (Baperka) has reached a decade in the national railway scene. Over the past ten years, of course, many achievements have been made. Some of these achievements are summarized in this book entitled "A Decade Journey", including several notes on state-owned railway facilities and assets managed by the Railway Maintenance Center. 

Ten Years of the Railway Maintenance Center (Baperka) present in the country, as a form of strengthening the synergy between the government and the national railway maintenance industry. In addition to carrying out the task of maintaining the country's railways, Bapeka strives to provide benefits to the community with various "Baperka Peduli" programs, both in the education and socio-cultural sectors. 

First of all, we would like to express our highest gratitude and appreciation to all stakeholders related to the Railway Maintenance Center. Many parties have provided support and good cooperation so that we can publish a book about the ten-year journey of the Railway Maintenance Center. 

The leadership of the Railway Maintenance Center considers it necessary to collect travel notes, thoughts, and criticisms during the running of this institution over a period of ten years, since its establishment in 2014 to 2024. And to collect as complete information and data as possible on the Railway Maintenance Center in the railway transportation sub-sector in order to obtain a complete portrait of the institution and become a summary in the institution's history notebook.

We would like to express our special gratitude to those who have been willing to be resource persons, have provided time, and have been willing to provide information, references, opinions/views, experiences, and stories through interviews conducted by members of the team compiling this book. 

This is the first book of historical notes of the Railway Maintenance Center, especially in the timeline of one decade. It is possible that there is insufficient content, is not informative enough, or even wrong. We apologize. We hope that if there is material that can improve the contents of this book, it can be submitted to us. If it is needed again later, of course a more complete and perfect historical note book can be published.
