The Legal Group is responsible for preparing laws and regulations, advocating for agreements, public relations, and inter-institutional affairs, assisting with the implementation of public information disclosure, foreign cooperation, and legal documentation in the railway sector.
The Legal Group performs the following functions in the course of its duties:
- Preparation of materials for the development of railway laws and regulations;
- Preparation of materials and agreement drafting, collaboration and implementation of advocacy, legal socialization in the railway sector, and legal documentation; and
- Preparation of materials for the coordination and implementation of public and inter-institutional relations, assistance with the implementation of public information disclosure, monitoring and inventory of the implementation of foreign cooperation in the railway sector, publication and public education on railway policies, news management, and information and documentation services.
The Legal Group is made up of the following individuals:
- Sub-coordinator of Legislation and Legal Documentation Network ;
- Sub-coordinator of Legal Agreements and Advocacy; and
- Sub-coordinator of Public Relations and Foreign Cooperation.

Description of Activities of Legal Group Coordinator
- Prepare legal review materials, draft drafts for the formation of laws and regulations, harmonization and evaluation of laws and regulations.
- Prepare materials for processing and providing advocacy, agreements, and legal opinions.
- Prepare materials for public relations, public and inter-institutional communications in the railway sector.
- Prepare materials to support the implementation of public information disclosure, foreign cooperation, and a network of legal documentation and laws and regulations in the railway sector.
- Prepare materials for implementing legal counseling, reviewing, compiling, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the implementation of domestic agreements/contracts and collective agreements (MOUs).
- Prepare material for study and evaluation of the minutes of violations of laws and regulations in the railways sector.
- Prepare materials for providing direction and guidance as well as follow-up on findings of violations of laws and regulations in the railways sector.
- Prepare materials for monitoring and inventorying the implementation of foreign cooperation in the railways sector.
- Prepare publication materials, public education on policies in the field of railways, and counseling/dissemination of policies and legislation in the field of railways.
