BPKARSS Send One Representative in 2024 Harhubnas Badminton Event, Eliminate 40 Competitors

The South Sumatra Light Railway Management Centre (BPKARSS) has managed to send a representative to a national sports event to commemorate the National Transport Day (Harhubnas) in 2024. A representative from the South Sumatra LRT Management Centre successfully eliminated 40 competitors from UPT DJKA all over Indonesia in the badminton selection held in Jakarta on 19-20 August.

The Harhubnas 2024 Badminton Selection is one of a series of annual events organised by the Ministry of Transport. The event aims to strengthen solidarity and cooperation among transport workers, as well as to showcase the sporting talents of civil servants and employees of the ministry and related institutions. This year's event was more vibrant with the participation of various national transport agencies ranging from railway, aviation, shipping, and land transport.

Representatives from South Sumatra LRT had to go through several rigorous qualification stages before they were finally selected. Facing stiff competition from various other agencies, this victory is clear evidence that South Sumatra LRT representatives not only have technical skills but also a strong fighting spirit.

With this selection, the representatives of South Sumatra LRT have been included in the main DJKA team, which will compete in Jakarta on 2-4 September. Many people were surprised and impressed by the team's outstanding performance, which demonstrated high appreciation for their perseverance.

This success was not welcomed by the LRT's internal management centre in South Sumatra. They hope that this achievement can be an inspiration for the younger generation in South Sumatra to not only focus on academics or work but also to develop their interests and talents in sports.

At South Sumatra LRT, we place a high value on a healthy work-life balance. We always support employees who want to develop their talents outside of work, as demonstrated by this badminton tournament,' said BPKARSS Head Rode Paulus.

Harhubnas 2024 event: Strengthening solidarity in The Transport Sector

The annual National Transport Day (Harhubnas) is an opportunity to recognize the transportation sector's significant contribution to national development. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the solidarity and synergy between the institutions involved in transportation, be it land, sea, air, or rail.

In addition to the badminton tournament, Harhubnas 2024 organised several other activities, including a table tennis competition, a mini football tournament, and seminars on technological developments in the transport sector. The Ministry of Transportation also presented awards to agencies that innovate in improving the quality of public services in the transport sector.

With the success of South Sumatra LRT in this badminton competition, it is hoped that cooperation and a healthy spirit of competition will continue to encourage the transport sector in Indonesia to progress and contribute to the welfare of society.
