The Railway Maintenance Center, Directorate General of Railways, Ministry of Transportation, is led by a new official. The Head of the Railway Maintenance Center (Baperka) is now held by Prayudi.

Prayudi replaces M Andi Hary Murty who previously led the Railway Maintenance Center for approximately three years from late 2020 to early 2024.

The replacement of leadership milestones was carried out right at the start of 2024, in accordance with the inauguration of echelon officials within the Directorate General of Railways on Thursday (18/1/2024).

The two Echelon III officials exchanged positions, M. Andi Hary Murty took a new position as Head of the Sub-Directorate for Management of State-Owned Facilities at the Directorate of Railway Facilities, replacing Prayudi, the previous official who now serves as Head of the Railway Maintenance Center.

Taking up his new position, Prayudi welcomed the support of the Railway Maintenance Center team. In his view, he revealed various things that still have potential to be developed from the assets owned by the Railway Maintenance Center to the Public Service Agency (BLU).

"The Railway Maintenance Center can carry out benchmarking with similar institutions, for example GMF Aero Asia, PT PAL Indonesia, they are in an industry similar to Baperka, are in the management of large transportation facilities, so they also need to be supported by strengthening HR competency in their respective fields ", explained Prayudi.

Not long after, the farewell agenda was held on Thursday (24/1/2024).

On this occasion, Andi Hary Murty expressed his gratitude because his time at the Railway Maintenance Center made him understand the work process of maintaining State-Owned Railway Facilities (SMN).

"I would like to thank you, at the Railway Maintenance Center I am in an environment that supports many work tasks, I am surrounded by great people, together we always want to continue to develop the Railway Maintenance Center," explained Andi Hary Murty .

Furthermore, Prayudi, as the new official Head of the Railway Maintenance Center, expressed his hopes and prayers for the Head of the Center who served previously "Hopefully in the new place he can carry out his duties with full responsibility and trust and can continue the quality management program of state-owned railway facilities to advance Indonesian railways." said Prayudi.

The farewell event went well and was full of warmth and was attended by all employees of the Railway Maintenance Center. At the event, several employees were asked to convey their impressions of Andi Hary Murty's tenure as Head of the Hall. This was followed by a video showing the profile of Andi Hary Murty when he was Head of the Hall.
