Bandung (20/8) The Sub-Directorate of Transportation, Directorate of Railway Traffic and Transportation held a Socialization/Market Sounding activity regarding the Plan to Reactivate Freight Transportation by Train on the Gedebage – Tanjungpriok Line. The activity was opened and led by the Head of the Transportation Sub-Directorate of the Directorate of Traffic and Railway Transportation, attended by the Assistant Deputy for National Logistics Development of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, representatives from the Deputy for Connectivity Infrastructure of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Daily Executive Chair of the Technical Team for National Logistics Ecosystem Development of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Head of the West Java Customs and Excise Regional Office, Head of the Bandung Customs and Excise Regional Office, Head of the Tanjung Priok Customs and Excise Regional Office, representatives from the Class I Bandung Railway Engineering Center, representatives from the Sub-Directorate of Cooperation and Business Development of the LLAKA Directorate, PPK Satker Traffic Development and Railway Transportation Improvement, PT Pelindo (Persero), PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), PT CMA-CGM Indonesia, PT KA Logistik, PT JICT, PT KOJA, PT Multi Terminal Indonesia, PT Bintang Laut Platinum, PT Sipatex Putri Lestari, PT Daese Garmin, PT Polyfin Canggih, PT TCI, and PT Tasen.

This activity also presented 4 (four) speakers, including Dr. Atong Soekirman, S.E., M.M. as Assistant Deputy for National Logistics Development of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Rudy Rahmaddi, PhD. as the Daily Executive Chair of the National Logistics Ecosystem Development Technical Team, Dr. Nofrisel as Chairman of the Expert Council of the Indonesian Logistics Association and Edi Sudiarto as an expert from PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). This activity was carried out with the aim that all parties involved in the NLE fully support the creation of a single tariff and single document for end-to-end transportation of goods by train, this greatly helps business actors for the smooth running of logistics activities in making time efficient, Efforts to reactivate the transportation of goods from TPK Gedebage to Tanjung Priok Port are highly appreciated by business actors, but an evaluation is needed of the transportation of highcube containers when passing through the Sasaksaat tunnel, and based on the data received, the potential for export and import goods from the Bandung area is comparable, so that it can reduce the burden of empty container shipments.
