Wednesday (6/04/2022), Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo attended the Coordination Meeting on the Progress of the Development of the Jakarta Light Railroad (LRT) for the Kelapa Gading - Velodrome Segment and the Kelapa Gading - Jakarta International Stadium Segment organized by the Directorate of Railways Traffic and Transportation, the Directorate General of Railways, and the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation.

The plan for the Jakarta LRT Phase 2A Kelapa Gading - Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) is the continuation phase of the LRT Phase 1 Pegangsaan Dua - Velodrome. It is also a National Strategy Project (PSN) which will be integrated with Transjakarta and KRL at JIS Station.

The meeting also discussed the acceleration of the approval process for the Jakarta Rajawali-Halim LRT Trace in Phases 2B, 3A and 3B.

The progress of the Jakarta LRT Phase 2A, 2B and 3B plans has potentially attracted market share due to integration with other public transportation networks as well as connectivity to JIS, Commuterline KRL, Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway and Jabodebek LRT which is expected to reduce potential congestion and increase interest people to return to using mass public transport.
